As a family patriarch, it would be very difficult to bless off on a potential marriage where one of the spouses almost killed the other one in a drunken stupor. My concern would be from a future intoxication state we may find one of the individuals landing in the morgue and the other serving a life sentence for murder over some tomfoolery. I think claiming that you are now in love with an individual who almost murdered you might be construed at best as stupidity.
