We feel compassionate and want to help when we see people in other nations dying from starvation. As the aid workers off load food to the millions starving, we might feel good that we are giving these poor people some semblance of life. However, the grim reaper also is actively pursuing the poorly fed with killer diseases like diabetes. What is most troubling is to see overweight children confronted with diabetes a sickness that I always thought of as a disease of aging. Therefore, it is great to see the New York's South Bronx gaining access to affordable fresh vegetables. However, the fast food industry may be confronting a pendulum directional change back towards pre-Nineteen Sixties American dinners, when mama cooked a wholesome meal, is coming back in vogue. Is the fast food market over saturated with retrenchment currently underway?
