We know gamblers are risk takers by their nature which is fine as long as one learns to take prudent risks. Leaving a child in a motor vehicle moves from the realm of prudence to the foolhardy. That is to gamble with the life and welfare of a child to meet one's gambling addiction is reckless. Since the Parx Casino has had seven incidents of people being left in vehicles while customers are gambling in their casino, it is obvious that their efforts to curtain this life threatening behavior is lip-service at best. Do we have to have some child lose her or his life for Parx to get serious for then the deadly stigma of irresponsibility for the child's life may cap their future profits as they become the gambling industry's poster child for casino untrustworthiness?

How stupid it is to blame the Casino instead of the parents. It doesn't have to be a Casino, this goes on in shopping centers all over too. Gambling should have been kept in Nevada and Atlantic City and maybe on more location in the South. The jealousy among states over casino revenue is mindboggling. Casino gaming should be kept at a distance, it should take some effort to get there especially in this economy. Localizing it like we're doing now is causing people to spend money they don't have and the tax revenue from it is being offset by the people not being able to pay their taxes and bills due to their losses at the casino. Why even build a casino in this economy knowing the mentality of the people on Welfare and unemployment compensation in an economy like this?
