I am troubled by the advice when it appears to be underpinned by research and not going out talking with real people happily married 30, 40 , 50, and 60 years. Marital crises have been around hundreds of years, hence; long tenured married people can tell you practically what works. As a person married 47 years, I believe if you win the argument then you lose the marriage because compromise is the name of the game.
