It is very alarming to realize that there are 1.27 million rapes occurring in the United States of America yearly. What happens to any children that may develop during these rapes? Are the rapists being convicted? Is rape now a quiet pandemic? What are we doing for the victims of the rapes?

...and sadly if we were capable of arresting and convicting the perps.. where would we put them? We do not treat sexual battery high on the list along with child predators.. who we depend upon in reporting to each town they move to .. to report to the police dept. for the sex offender's list. How crazy is that? A criminal on the honor system?

If one wants to really send a message and really get serious about child predators and rape .. then one needs a consequence with enough bite in it, that will give more in return.. create a specific consequence for these acts.. 1 main trial.. if found guilty.. 30 days to appeal ..if verdict upheld.. 7-14 days if not sooner death. People who are serious about stopping pervs & perps.. will side with it.. those who flap their gums are allowing this kind of crime to continue and just like to flap their gums.

Not only is the victim being victimized over and over again whether in act or in their minds.. it is also costing billions of dollars each year to confine child predators and rapists... which are literally raping this country of money that it could use elsewhere.

To be honest, not enough is being done, trust me when I say that this hits close to home for me..also not everyone reports this kind of crime, as the victims feel dirty and feel like in some way that it might even be their fault and what kind of incentive for them to tell the authorities when in allot of cases there is not harsh punishment.

Kim .. very sorry

Yet.. you are correct.. rarely anything is done .. and the few years they spend in jail at not only the expense of the victim.. the victim sits in their home.. just wondering when that schmuck will be getting out again.. which plagues their mind... There isn't any 'new' chapter in their lives as they continually relive it.. where as if we got rid of permanently the scum.. then the victim would be able to move on with at least knowing that schmuck cannot harm them again.

Unbelievable. Rape should be a capital crime, and execution processes streamlined. And while these violent offenders are being coddled we are spending billions incarcerating non-violent offenders.
