As I watched the President and founder of the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP), the Rev. William Owens, speak at the National Press Club on July 31, 2012, I concluded that he was merely a rightwing Republican Party Uncle Tom hell-bent on putting a wedge between Black America and President Barack Obama exploiting religious bigotry.
It was most interesting to hear a CAAP speaker claim 20% of North Carolina Blacks did not support President Obama. I think the CAAP will get a rude awakening on Election Day because even with all the high finance Mitt Romney’s strategists might help them to garner that Black America will not fall prey to the misdirection of these modern day Uncle Toms.
