I chatted with a middle age African American lady who said she was upset because her boyfriend of two years just stopped communicating with her for the last month. Her calls go unanswered. She had thought this chap was her dream man perhaps as a husband.

I could sense she was a very strong willed and no nonsense woman that might scare a weak man or a player. I pointed out my observation to her. She agreed with my remark saying she was tough.   

I pointed out that a woman can have a man that is her gigolo with whom she supports his needs in return for sex. However, this gigolo may move on to another woman.  In essence, she ought not to be surprised when he drops her under the bus.

Our conversation turned to discussing sexual needs of both partners. I then pointed out that long term relationships or marriages are underpinned by a willingness of each partner or spouse to satisfy the fantasies need of their spouse.  The failure to meet these needs leaves a beach head for an outsider to destroy the marriage or relationship. 

As our chat terminated, it was clear that I had given her some thoughts to ponder for she walked away with a contemplative expression on her face.  I walked away hoping she was recounting her relationship with this missing boyfriend where she might find some manner of rekindling their love if it was meant to be.
